The Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs is a Non-Profit tax-exempt public charity recognized under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation is tax deductible (Tax ID # 45-5162702).

 

We founded the Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs to assist in the purchase and continued support of canines to be used for public safety throughout Douglas County. Fiscal constraints typically make it difficult for law enforcement agencies to implement and to continue a police K9 program. “Friends” allows an avenue for immediate selection and reimbursement for quality canines, needed equipment and specialized trainings. We are dedicated to supporting our canine partners.

Specialized K9 Training & Schools
It is imperative that K9 teams train continuously to increase their effectiveness for deployments. K9 teams are sometimes not able to attend available trainings due to budget restraints. “Friends” allows the opportunity for our local law enforcement K9 teams to attend these essential trainings.
